1. Introduction

This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect information related to your use of the Criminal Brigade role-playing game application for GTA 5 ("the Application").

Important: Character data, vehicles, incidents and other game information are entirely fictional and created within the context of role-playing.

2. Discord OAuth 2.0 Authentication

The Application uses Discord OAuth 2.0 for secure and centralized authentication:

Authorized Scopes

  • identify: Retrieves your unique Discord ID and username
  • email: Retrieves your Discord email address

Authentication Flow

  1. You click "Sign in with Discord"
  2. You are redirected to Discord to give your consent
  3. Discord returns your basic information to the Application via a secure token
  4. The Application creates a local user session and encrypts the token
  5. You are redirected to the Application dashboard

OAuth Security

  • All tokens are stored encrypted on the server
  • Communication via HTTPS/TLS 1.2+ (encryption in transit)
  • No Discord password storage (Discord manages this)
  • You can revoke access at any time in Discord settings
  • The Application never accesses your DMs, servers or other sensitive Discord data

3. Data Collected

The Application collects two types of information:

a) User Account Information

  • Unique Discord identifier (used for authentication)
  • Discord username
  • Discord email address (if authorized)
  • Role assigned in the application (CRIME, AVOCAT, PROCUREUR, JUGE, OWNER)
  • Account creation date
  • IP address (for security and debugging purposes)

b) Role-Playing Game Data (fictional)

  • Information about RP characters (names, descriptions, fictional photos)
  • Fictional game vehicles and weapons
  • Arrest reports and game files
  • Evidence and investigations within RP context
  • Fictional criminal sanctions for game characters
  • Criminal groups and addresses in the GTA 5 universe
  • Fictional RP addresses and residences

4. Data Usage

The data collected is used for:

  • Enable authentication and secure access to the Application
  • Manage permissions based on your role in the RP server
  • Ensure role-playing continuity (character history, files, etc.)
  • Provide Application features based on your service (CRIME, AVOCAT, etc.)
  • Improve user experience and Application performance
  • Generate anonymous statistics on Application usage

5. Data Sharing

Your data is only shared with:

  • Other authorized RP server players based on their permissions
  • Server administrators for management and moderation
  • Discord (only for OAuth authentication)

We never sell your data to third parties and do not share it outside the scope strictly necessary for the operation of the role-playing game.

6. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your data:

  • Secure connection via HTTPS
  • Authentication via Discord OAuth 2.0
  • Secure database with restricted access
  • Role-based permission system
  • Logging of sensitive actions to prevent abuse
  • Regular data backups

7. Data Retention

Data is retained as long as:

  • Your account is active on the RP server
  • Game data is needed for role-playing continuity
  • Server administrators have not decided to purge old data

If you close your account or leave the server, your personal data (Discord ID, email) may be deleted upon request, but game data may be retained to maintain the integrity of RP files.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right of Access : Consult data concerning you
  • Right of Rectification : Correct inaccurate data
  • Right to Erasure : Request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to Object : Object to processing of certain data
  • Right to Data Portability : Retrieve your data in a structured format

To exercise these rights, contact the server administrators.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Application uses local storage technologies for:

  • Keep your login session active
  • Save your preferences (dark/light theme, language, etc.)
  • Improve application performance

You can delete this local data via your browser settings.

10. Third-Party Services

The Application uses the following third-party services:

  • Discord : Authentication via OAuth 2.0
  • Hosting Service : Database and file storage

These services have their own privacy policies which we encourage you to review.

11. Minors

The Application is intended for players aged 18 and above, in accordance with the terms of use of Discord and the RP server rules. If you are aware that a minor is using the Application without parental authorization, please contact the administrators.

12. OAuth Access Revocation

You have the right to revoke the Application's access to your Discord account at any time:

  1. Go to discord.com and sign in to your account
  2. Navigate to User Settings ā†’ Authorized Applications
  3. Find "Criminal Brigade" in the list
  4. Click "Revoke" to remove all access

Once revoked, you will no longer be able to sign in to the Application with Discord. All personal data will be deleted according to our retention policies.

13. Policy Changes

This privacy policy may be changed at any time. Important changes will be communicated via the Application or Discord server. The last update date is shown at the top of this page.
